DODAI combines the Italian "do" (I give) and "dai" (you give). It's a juggling-dance-theatre experiment: seven individuals confronted with everyday problems, circling one question — what is mine, what is yours, and what do we need to share in order to live a better life? 100 balls, 70 fingers, 7 jugglers, 6 nations, 1 understanding.
The piece lives in Stefan Sing's organic juggling — free, playful, momentum-driven, built on blind understanding and reciprocal action between performers. The stage becomes a shifting landscape where bodies and objects collide, synchronize, and scatter, demanding absolute presence and physical listening from everyone. The ensemble itself — performers, a lighting designer, and a musician from six European nations — is a statement about a common Europe.
Noah's signature section became known within the company as "Noah's Gifts": the other six performers hurl objects across the full width of the stage, and his task is to sprint, catch everything mid-air, pull the chaos into a clean pattern at full speed, and pass it on. Long arcs of balls streaming toward one running catcher — explosive, compact, quick: exactly his wheelhouse, and truly gifts for Noah.
Dodai premiered at Festival Mirabilia (Italy) in 2018; Noah joined the ensemble that year for its further development, premiering the new version at the Flottmann-Hallen in Herne, and performed with the company until 2023.
