Nature has spent roughly 4.6 billion years evolving organisms that are energy-efficient, resource-conserving, and sustainable. When these organisms join together, a superorganism can emerge — one with properties and structures that none of its parts possesses alone.
The juggling collective Critical Mess takes this idea as the starting point for SUPERORGANISM. The virtuosic interplay of seven human organisms, their image-focused juggling underscored by the electronic sounds of Fabian Laute, creates a hypnotic vortex that draws performers and audience alike into a trance-like journey through the world of evolution and networks.
For Noah, Superorganism was the natural evolution of Dodai: where Dodai lived on improvisation and blind reciprocity, Superorganism was fully grown together — precisely choreographed, throw by throw. "We knew exactly what was coming. That's where the trust comes out: I know you're going to throw this, and I know I'll catch it there." Juggling stops being an individual display of skill and becomes the circulatory system of a collective body.
Noah performed with the company in 2023–2024, including at the European Juggling Convention in Lublin, Tête-à-Tête Rastatt, and Atoll Karlsruhe.
