Born in Accra, Ghana, Noah Schiltknecht grew up in a tiny mountain village in Switzerland. There he fell in love with drumming on any surface that makes a sound, moving in many different ways, and figuring things out by himself. A strong interest in mathematics, quantum physics, and computer science followed.
At the age of 12 he learned how to juggle whilst falling in love with a girl. During high school he worked at a local circus teaching children and adults, explored various sports, and learned how to build a circus caravan from scratch. After graduating, he intensified his training, started performing as much as possible, and learned dance and acrobatics to deepen his artistic understanding with his very scientific mind.
From 2015 to 2019 he attended the Academy of Circus and Performance Art (ACAPA) in Tilburg, Netherlands. L'absurdité de l'existence is what makes life enjoyable for him. He likes to explore serious things in a playful manner — pondering the depth and realness of being, while being entertained by its strangeness and the curiosity that is the human condition.

Juggling balls. Sensors. Live music. Light.
The Amble Fusion juggling balls are equipped with sensors which allow for the direct creation of sounds in real time. Developed by Noah Schiltknecht over the course of seven years, they can be programmed to behave in various ways during juggling — producing music and harmonies from the rhythm that is already inherent in the act of juggling.
The show redefines juggling as an immersive experience for eye, ear, and heart. Traditional visual art merges with music and light, becoming a truly emotional language. The technology combines Arduino-based sensors with Max/MSP software and LED illumination.
